Apps that Will Save You Money

Whether you’re on a tight budget or you simply want to put more aside for savings, finding ways to help you save money is responsible for your overall financial health. Saving and budgeting can be tricky, but there are lots of applications out there to assist you in the process, keep you accountable, and help you find the best deals on the products you need. Here are a few apps that will save your money. Check them out, and make saving money easier than ever!

1. BaZing

BaZing is a platform that you can use online or via a mobile app that helps keep life affordable. It is essentially a discount network of over 300,000 online and local deals that provides you with savings on dining, shopping, travel, and many other benefits. You can easily get started and activate an account online, and you gain access to BaZing through a rewards account with your bank or credit union.

2. Mint

Mint is a free, easy to use app used for monthly budgeting. It links to your bank accounts, loans, and credit accounts, and then categorizes your transactions in real time so you get an accurate picture of your spending habits. Mint will automatically update your transactions into categories such as entertainment, food and dining, utilities, etc. and you can also manually label different purchases. This makes budgeting much easier to keep track of and shows you areas where you can cut back spending.

3. Albert

Albert is especially useful for those who don’t necessarily have a regular or steady income. It determines your income by tracking your transactions and then creates a personalized budget based on your spending habits, recurring bills, and overall income. It also sends you notifications about your spending trends and any rising expenses so you’re aware if things go off track or you need to cut back.

4. BeFrugal

BeFrugal is another great way to save on deals and discounts. You can download it for free on the app store and it will automatically apply coupons to items from over 5,000 retailers. It also allows you to earn cash back to use on future purchases.

5. Upside

For savings on gas prices at the pump, Upside should be your go-to. You just connect your debit or credit card to the app and search for participating gas stations in the area (as well as grocery stores and restaurants). According to the company, you can earn an estimated $203 cash back every year by using their services.

6. Checkout 51

Checkout 51 provides savings on both groceries and gas. With inflation and the rising cost of goods, this is an incredibly good way to save on everyday/monthly expenses. Download the app for free, then every Thursday you can check for updates and new offers. Simply tap “Redeem” — once you’ve made your purchases you can upload your receipt and collect your cash back in real time. Once you’ve saved up $20 you can cash out your savings.

These six applications are just a few of many apps that will help you save money and budget smarter. For more budgeting tips and tricks and ways to save your money, check out our library of resources or contact us at 800-526-9127 to speak with an expert!
