Community Reinvestment Act
Republic Bank of Chicago, since opening its doors in 1964, has been committed to its communities – not just in words but in actions.
As a financial institution, we are obligated to meet the guidelines of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). Rest assured that our commitment goes far beyond any government requirements as relentlessly and passionately serving our communities has not only helped them flourish, but it has enabled Republic Bank of Chicago to become the strong and trusted financial institution it is today.
In accordance with the CRA, all financial institutions are required to maintain and, upon request, make available a complete CRA Public File. This public file contains information about our branches and their locations, the services offered at each location, the public section of our most recent CRA performance evaluation, any comments received from the public relating to our performance in meeting our community’s credit needs, as well as our responses to those comments and other information.
Actions, Not Words
Republic Bank of Chicago was the proud recipient of the 2023 Illinois Bankers Association Community Service Award, an award that honors financial institutions that go far above and beyond in their communities.
You might find our banking professionals explaining the basics of saving and spending to school children on Career Day. We also ring bells for Salvation Army during the holidays. We host supply drives to send to our brave service men and women overseas. We commit hundreds of thousands of dollars each year in donations and sponsorships that reinvest in our communities.

Highlighted Organizations
We are proud to partner with some outstanding organizations who share our values and have the same desire to help those who live in the communities we serve. Below is a brief list of some of those organizations.
The Center provides primary health care services including discounted medications. They also have services available for dental and mental health care.
The Council offers resources to help both youth and adult clients needing assistance with budgeting, resumes, and career planning. They also offer financial education programs for all ages.
Focused on making non-profit organizations successful, the Corps provides consulting, coaching, and professional services for NFPs in need.
NHS provides assistance to first-time home buyers and has services designed to help owners stay in their homes during times of financial duress.
Northwest Side Housing Center helps first-time home buyers, offers financial counseling, and provides assistance with foreclosure prevention.
Offering financial counseling, housing counseling, and pre-purchase counseling, The Journey Forward also hosts monthly webinars on a wide range of topics including credit reports, budgeting, foreclosure prevention, and debt management.
